Why DomainProfi ?

The company founder Martin Steinkamp has been offering domain name registration services for customers since 1997 and is actively involved in the domain industry. In 2008, he founded DomainProfi GmbH in his own company building in Martinistraße Osnabrück.

According to DENIC, Osnabrück is the undisputed domain capital of Germany because of Domainprofi, as no other city in Germany has more domains per inhabitant. Domainprofi is also an attractive employer.

Since the company was founded, DomainProfi GmbH has established itself as a leading specialist for the management of large customer domain portfolios and since 2014 has also been offering customers services relating to the registration of domains that become available under the nicsell brand, as well as a domain marketplace where customers can sell their domains to each other.

In 2019, we acquired the Dutch company CatchTiger, which specialises in registering domains that become available in several European markets. This enabled us to expand our range of domain endings for which we can offer registration services. Since then, the (Catch) Tiger has also been our mascot.
